If you have never visited Maps101, now is the time! It is full of great resources for all subjects. In addition to all kinds of maps, it has National Geographic videos, standards-based resources, and EarthPulse, which uses maps to illustrate global trends, such as the conservation module below. To access Maps101, go to www.maps101.com or click the link from the Online Resources page at www.rebelslibrary.com . The log-in information is the same as our library databases.

QR Codes are quick and easy ways to link to files, imagse, and information online. They can be read by any smartphone, iPad, webcam, etc. with a QR reader app and a camera. The possibilities are endless! One of the quickest and easiest uses for QR codes is to link to information online. Once you create the code, students can scan it with their phones and they’ll be immediately sent to whatever content you linked from the code!! Watch this video to see how easy it is to create a QR code with goo.gl A Google account is not neccessary, but if you have one, you can save all your codes online.

What is a VoiceThread?

VoiceThread is a website that allows for group conversations centered around a slideshow. You can add images, documents and videos and participants can leave comments via phone, mic, typed text, saved audio file, or video with a webcam. Watch this video to see VoiceThread in action! (P.S. Where?

A 220—computers set aside for accessing your grade book and putting the Top 10 into practice immediately

How?
3 stations set up each week so you can visit all 3 or just one. Come and go or bring your lunch and eat.

Why?

When we work and learn together there is no new policy or system we can’t master!

And yes, we’ll have door prizes at each lunch with a big door prize after we wrap up the series at the end of the month.

Who?

All instructional staff are encouraged to attend at least one session.
